Tilicho Peak Expedition

Tilicho Peak lies in the north-west of Annapurna ranges and highest lake of the world Tilicho Lake. It is little bit hard to climb rather than the other mountains having height of the around 7000m. The peak was discovered in 1950 by the team led by Maurice Herzog who were attempting to find Annapurna I. The first ascent was made in 1979 by the French climber Emanuel Schmutz using the northwest shoulder. There are two way to this mountain climbing till its base camp i.e. from Marshyandi valley route and from Kali Gandaki valley via Mesokenta-la pass routes. If the teams go through Kali Gandaki valley, climber will have good acclimatization by crossing Mesokenta-la pass of 5300m altitude from the sea-level with tranquil view of Tilicho Lake and many more mountains can be seen. Tilicho Peak base camp is located near the Tilicho Lake at 5200m high.  It is little bit hard times to reach and climb on the camp I.
