Chandragiri Hill Day Hiking

Chandragiri day hiking is one of the best day hiking around at Kathmandu valley. The hiking starts Hindus Temple at  Matatirtha. The clean environment makes you different and you feel relaxed in your mind. Also, you can view the panoramic view of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal range. The trail leads to Chhap Bhanjyang at 2275m through the small village and forest. You will walk 3 hours steep up a stone staircase to the Chhap Bhanjyang.  Here you will get tea and coffees in a local tea shop. This tea shop only open in season time.  After one hour walking through the forest, you will be in Chandragiri Hill at 2729 m.

From Chandragiri Hill, you can observe spectacular mountains view west to east including Mt. Api, Saipal to Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Dorje Lakpa and Gaurishankar mountains range.

During the hike, you see the picturesque scenery, and you talk to yourself how this beautiful scenery was formed at the time mother earth was born. The hiking in this region gives you experience that the people of this region follow Buddhism, as well as makes you feel that this place is not a home to different species of animals, but the continued view of mountains from Mt. Api to Everest and from Makalu to Kanchenjunga, Chandragiri hiking becomes a perfect hiking to see extra view of mountains. As you follow the hiking trail that features rich flora, you will be in a region that abounds with 135 herbs.

We will be having a 45 min drive to our hiking point which is near to Matatirtha Temple. We all would be having a breakfast before our hike.
