Putha Hiunchuli Expedition

Putha Hiunchuli (7246m/23,772ft) is the westernmost peak of the Dhaulagiri range.To the west is Annapurna South and Ganesh Himal. Putha Hiunchuli is the last 7000m peak marking the end of the snow-capped range, it is also sometimes referred to as Dhaulagiri VII.

According to the book ‘High Asia’, Jimmy Roberts did a reconnaissance of the Dhaulagiri massif in 1954. During the trip he and Ang Nyima climbed Putha Hinchuli 7246m. (Dhaulagiri VII) via its northeast face. It appeared from the map that this face is most accessible from the Kaya Khola, a side-stream of the Barbung Khola which is directly across the valley from Kakkot. This mountain offers those climbers who like to climb 7000m. Mountain in Nepal to have experience technically and physically to get over 8000m. 

Wongchhu Peak Promotion provides a comprehensive service organizing all necessary permits, climbing documentation, logistics including airfares, ground transportation, porters, food along the trek and other individual services required by clients. Wongchhu Peak advises clients to use a personal climbing Sherpa guide (which we will provide) to help you reach the summit. Your personal climbing Sherpa will set up camps with food provisions, fuel and oxygen as well as guide the climber to summit.

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our company representative will meet and welcome you to Nepal and then you'll be transferred to your confirmed hotel. Once you finish the check-in procedure, you can rest & relax at the hotel. Later you will be accompained by the office staff for a short tour of Thamel to make you familiar with some good restaurants, ATMs, money changer and other necessary places you might need during your stay in Thamel.

The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture which is the highlights of our guided tour. A visit to Patan City will enchant you with its famous fine arts and historical architecture. On return to your hotel, you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the famous streets. Finally, day ends with a Authentic Nepalese Dinner in Nepali Cultural Restaurant.

We spend a day preparing the final documents, gears & equipment check and so on. You can go for final shopping if something is missed before leaving out for the mountain.

Nepalgunj is the town which is situated on the south-west Nepal border with India. From Kathmandu domestic airport it will take an hour to land at Nepalgunj airport. Overnight in Hotel.

In the early morning after breakfast we will transferred to the domestic airport of Nepalgunj for the flight to Juphal. Juphal is situated over the Himalayan foothills, with the imagistic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna in its North.  After 3 hours walk from Juphal trek takes to our overnight camp at Dunai village.

It's over 1,600m height gain from Kakkot to base camp, with only one place to camp in-between, so you need to spend a few days acclimatising. From Kagkot you'll aim to walk up to 4,000m en route to Pangi Camp, before returning to Kagkot.

Our climbing Sherpa guide team will establish and secure climbing route in collaboration with other climbing teams participating on the route. Establish all high camps with camping equipment, provisions, oxygen and prepare high altitude food for the client. Full board also indistinguishable client on the route while ensuring their safety and well being.We move at the clients preferred pace and ensure total commitment to the client in case of emergency with the clients safety and well being being the overriding priority.

High camp service for the Full Board Service will consist of all of the equipment necessary to fix the route, all camping equipment, fuel and food for high camps.

Leisure day at Kathmandu followed by farewell dinner & celebration. Leisure day at Kathmandu followed by farewell dinner & celebration. You can ask your guide to take you on a sightseeing trip inside Kathmandu Valley. On this day you can go to the various museums around the valley including the Narayanhiti Museum which earlier used to be the residence of the last king of Nepal. You may also go to the hilltop of Nagarkot. After some sightseeing around the world heritage sites in the valley, you will have a farewell dinner and enjoy with your Nepali friends and guide. You might even make plans for extending your stay for Chitwan jungle safari, rafting activities, and more with your guide.

As per your flight schedule you'll be dropped to airport 3 hours prior to the flight time and your trip to Nepal ends here.
