Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna Base Camp trek is known to be one of the most popular trekking destinations in Nepal other than the Everest Base Camp Trek. The unique flora and fauna , wonderful culture and tradition, along with the views of the majestic mountains like Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Nilgiri, and Mt. Fishtail makes the Annapurna Base Camp trek so special.

Sitting at the lap of the 10th highest mountain in the world, Mt. Annapurna at 8091 m, the Annapurna Base camp trek package has a lot to offer. The Annapurna massif blanketed by heaps of snow looks exceptionally good above from the base camp at an elevation of 4310 m. You get to experience the cultures and tradition of different ethnic communities of Tamang, Chhetri, Magars, and Gurung.

The ABC trekking trail begins from Nayapul and towards Hinku Cave. From the forest of rhododendron and bamboo, the path leads to Deurali and then into Jhinu Danda downhill. You gently enter Tolka to reach Pokhara. The ABC trek explores all grandeur of Nepal in the lap of Annapurna Massif.

Your Annapurna Base Camp trek journey begins from Kathmandu valley. After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be transferred to your respective hotel by our coordinates at Wongchhu Peak Promotion. You can head out to roam around Thamel, which is the central tourist hub in Kathmandu valley.

Early morning after breakfast you will be briefed about the upcoming trek by your guide. Your guide will also advise you regarding the necessary equipment and checklist for your bag pack. The rest of the day can be spent by visiting world heritage sites like Swoyambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. You may also ask your guide to take you to the courtyards of Bhaktapur, Patan, and Basantapur. The mystical and spiritual places around Kathmandu valley will most likely keep you occupied and amazed throughout the day.

On this day you will head towards Pokhara which will be the starting point of your trek. The smooth drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara will be equally exciting since you will see a drastic change in the landscape, from the city area to mesmerizing greenery. The drive will take you from Muglin to Gorkha, and then to the bus park at lakeside Pokhara. As per the name, you will be placed in a hotel near the famous Fewa lake of Pokhara. In the evening and night, you can roam around the lakeside or go to the nightclubs.

You will begin your hike early in the morning towards Ghorepani. Hiking uphill from Tikhedhunga you will arrive at Ulleri village. You will be offered with a wide range of vista landscape and Himalayas that will keep you walking without toil. Amidst the forest of rhododendron, you will see the glimpse of Annapurna and Mt Macchapuchre. The different variety of flora and fauna found is what drags botanist to Annapurna Region.

From Tadapani, you will begin your trek and head towards Chomrong. The walk is relatively easier. You will cross a suspension bridge over Kimrong River and then head up to the Modi valley. After a quick descend along the banks of the Modi River, you will reach Chhomrong at an elevation of 2210m.

On this day you will be hiking to Dovan from Chomrong. The path will take you over the Chomrong Khola through Modi Khola valley and then across the Khuldighar. The hike is relatively easier. You will stay overnight at a lodge in Dovan.

Early in the morning, you will drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. The drive is wonderful with views of high standing mountains and green landscape. After two hours, you will reach Nayapul from where you will begin your trek. You will walk along the bank of Modi Khola amidst the forest of Pine, rhododendron and be introduced to the different ethnic groups. Eventually, after crossing the lowland rice fields, you will reach Tikhedhunga for your overnight stay.

You will begin your hike early in the morning towards Ghorepani. Hiking uphill from Tikhedhunga you will arrive at Ulleri village. You will be offered with a wide range of vista landscape and Himalayas that will keep you walking without toil. This day you will get to observe one of the highlights of the ABC Trek. You will climb to the Machhapuchre Base Camp at an elevation of 3770m. On the path, you will head towards Hinku Cave and then to Deurali before finally reaching the MBC. The snowcapped Machhapuchre to your closest will leave you astounded. You will also have an up-close view of Annapurna.

This is the main highlight of the entire ABC trek since you will be heading towards Annapurna Base Camp on this day. From MBC you will walk towards ABC which is a 5-6 hours trek. Upon reaching the Annapurna Sanctuary, you will be amazed by the mountains blanketed with snow. The amazing views of the glaciers including Mt. Annapurna will have you mesmerized.

On this day, after breakfast, you will return to Bamboo at 2300 m from Annapurna Base Camp. The Annapurna Base Camp will be covered by the rays of the warm sun in the morning, so you can expect a different view of the mountains early in the morning. After a gradual descending path, you will reach Bamboo. The path is clear since you will only have to retrace your steps back.

After the amazing trek to Annapurna Base camp, you will be heading back to where you started from. On this day you will descend towards Jhinu Danda which is known best for its hot spring where you can take a warm bath. Along the way towards Jhinu Danda, you will pass the Khuldi Ghar, and the Sinuwa hill which will add to the glamour of the Annapurna base camp trek.

On this day you will head towards the lovely Pokhara City. After a long trek, you will reach Pokhara following the path from Jhinu Danda to Langruik village and along the bank of Modi Khola. In the evening you can go to watch a folk cultural performance or can even stroll near the Fewa lake mirroring the bright light from the surrounding restaurants and bars.

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will catch a bus that will take you to Kathmandu. Throughout the ride in the Prithvi Highway, you will reminisce the sceneries of the snow-capped mountains in the Annapurna region, and the lovely people that you met along the way. After reaching Kathmandu, you can relax in your hotel or can go for souvenir shopping around the area of Thamel.

You can ask your guide to take you on a sightseeing trip inside Kathmandu Valley. On this day you can go to the various museums around the valley including the Narayanhiti Museum which earlier used to be the residence of the last king of Nepal. You may also go to the hilltop of Nagarkot. After some sightseeing around the world heritage sites in the valley, you will have a farewell dinner and enjoy with your Nepali friends and guide. You might even make plans for extending your stay for Chitwan jungle safari, rafting activities, and more with your guide.
